Green Mountain Boys July 4th flyover?

Will it happen? With repairs going on at Burlington and news they will not house F-16's at Pease in NH will they really fly from Langley in Va. for the parade? Hope so.

Really? I'd rather see a squad of apache helicopters swoop down and hover over the parade. That would be cool. I've seen a million flyovers.

All I can say is I have "conditional approval" from the Pentagon (yes, THAT Pentagon). I filed all the properly endorsed papers (4 pages, with regional supervisor's approval in Maine- crazy hoops...) and am now in the queue for scheduling. No promises, but it's now out of my hands.....

I hope you didn't trade any of your winter weather credits, for what is shaping up as a fantabulous holiday weekend. Good luck and see you there.

So... Was there a flyover and I just missed it?

I didn't miss a lot... at least that passed where I was. I thought it was a great time.

I have a bunch of pix. I'm in the process of sorting, editing and uploading them. There are way too many to post here. If you want to see al of them, look here.

Here are a few of what I've gone thru:

    Someone's in a hurry!

I think that should be enough for now. Everyone I met was in a parade mood.

    What'd others think?

Lemme tell ya, I wasn't running like that come 4pm..... phew. No fly-over- in fact no fly-overs in VT at all this year due to the jets being held at Langley (as skiladi mentioned). I need 2 people to help me next year if anyone is interested. One person at 7am for 90 minutes work putting out garbage cans and putting tp in the portalets. A second person to man-handle/woman-handle the start of the parade. You get up close and personal with the floats, setting them off in some sort of orderly fashion, "warren-style". PM if you can help me next year.

Great Parade. I'll take good weather over a flyover any day. Seemed to be more "floats" than in the recent past. The water sprayers were much appreciated.
But I do have a complaint. Towards the end, my buddy found me. The excitement for both of us was palpable. so we went to claim our prize, and they were gone. We got 'nothing.
