I humbly suggest that the name of the lodge be "Peace, Love, and Understanding".
You may laugh... (Ha, Ha, and Ha!)
But as they say: What's so funny about Peace, Love and Understanding???
(With my sincere apologies to Elvis)

And that has made all the difference.

Base Camp Lodge.
Base Camp is the name of Stowe's new lodge! It looks like Timbers.
Well I guess you know where I've been spending my time. I withdraw the suggestion.Originally Posted by win
I strongly feel that a building of such prominence should not have a quirky name. It should incorporate something that is the mountain or area. Like Claybrook or Castlerock, it should celebrate the geography or history of the Mountain. Names like Monroe, Hanks, Cuts, Lincoln or Abraham or maybe Catamount come to mind. To name it after a barn type or something like that does not fit with the established themes. Remeber this name will be around for a long time. Just my 2 cents.
Trouble with you is the trouble with me,
Got two good eyes but we still don’t see!
What's up with this Portal thing Tree. Sounds like we are traveling to another galaxy.Originally Posted by Treeskier

How about you cheese it up with a classy corporate sponsor. 'The Pepsi Skier Services Center' or go with something more topical such as 'The Real Housewifes of NJ Base Camp.' Every two years you could change the name to the latest fleeting fad.
....perhaps I should take my ideas to Hunter Mtn.....
On a more serious note, I think Win is fishing here for someone to toss out; The Win Smith Skier Services Center. Frankly, its warranted.
Good thoughts. I like the connection of the building name to the wilderness/ski area.Originally Posted by Hawk
App Gap through Camel's Hump on the green mountain spine is the Monroe Skyline. Sugarbush from LP to SB North is a prime chunk of that.
How about the "Skyline Guest Services Chalet" aka "Skyline Chalet" aka "Skyline". Middlebury's Breadloaf has a Skyline Lodge. But I kind of like Chalet anyways. Homey, warm, break out the cocoa and moon boots...
....google "Sugarbush" and "Adult Portal" together. I dare not, Sam I am...I dare not google that or eat green eggs and ham...Originally Posted by Treeskier
I'm braver than that!
