To me the grading for the two buildings appears close. As to the topside regrading, that is far from finished, so I don't know what it will look like.

They are moving right along, on the foundation work. Should have a few more pix, tomorrow.

Today's mission was to hike up for a few more views for before and after shots. Oh yeah... And to feed the bugs, too.

I think (that's a dangerous term) the idea is that there will be a plaza somewhere amongst the buildings that you will enter into, perhaps via a small set of steps (4-5?). That plaza will itself be sloped somewhat such that the final series of steps up to the level of the lodge and lifts is also just 4-5. In sum, instead of taking the grade from the lot to the lodge all in one go via the steps, you'll take it more gradually. Think how much easier it is to walk to the south of CB vs. the 46 steps o' doom even though you're dealing with the same change in elevation. It will be the same idea though executed in a different fashion. Probably hard to visualize/conceptualize until it's close to finished.

To quickly answer some of the questions:

    Everything is right on schedule.

The second building is indeed on a higher plateau than the Children's Building.

The ease of entry is due to the fact that there is a more gradual grade up without stairs to the mid- level (like the path up Gate House Lane) and then a path with some stairs up from that level to the snow level. No one complained about the walk up Gate House Lane (on the South Side of Clay Brook. That was the same elevation change from the parking lot to the Gate House plaza as the 44 stairs. This entry will be more like that experience, but with some stairs.

The birdseye view rendering is being prepared, but we have had more immediate priorities.

    Got Time?

    Hey Win,

Congrats on Sugarbush's continued success. You guys deserve it. You do a great job.

Have you considered having a clock anywhere on the mountain side exterior of these new buildings and/or Gatehouse. A clock or clocks at these central hub/meetingplaces seems like a natural to me.

Just one more thing to add to "mountain" of to-dos.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks Win.

    Much Respectness,

    Yard Sale

Ps, Switchback is great, but if you were to also offer Rock Art IPA II in the CRP, it would eliminate any necessity for clocks or time keeping.

Headed up tonight. I guess I will check out the construction tomorrow. Can't wait to rip some awsome single track.
Trouble with you is the trouble with me,
Got two good eyes but we still don’t see!

    As of yesterday...

The Tonka Toys nearest me are on a leveled area. I believe that will be the other building.

    Thanks.

Can you all imagine how much more interesting this would be if they were installing a new lift? (and a much better workout for Lostone)
