TR: Foliage watching at Sunday River (Oct 18, '09)

A few shots from opening weekend at the River. Forecast was for rain mixed with snow in Boston, so decision between sitting inside and watching paint dry or driving 7 hours to ski 6 was an easy one.

Driving up...


That is the secret to early East Coast skiing - Snowflake factory...


Top to bottom skiing, but bottom is thinner than Olson twins...


$25 buys a lot of chair lift assisted foliage watching...

So we watched...


Rob could not keep up with his drinking buddy so he went skiing...


He spent some time in the air to save snow for others...


SR did not pay their electric bill so the light just was not there...
