Is it true that the 21" reported from the latest storm was reserved in a secret stash for Claybrook line cutters while the rest of us only got to ski on 10-12" of new snow ?

yeah, it was a drift the CB cutters had to bushwack through to get in the line.

After you bought your new car did you send a letter to the CEO telling him how you hated the new rebate programs on SUVs? Did his lack of initial response stir you to rally other consumers and threaten to sue the company for unfair trade practices only to find out that most of the other consumers didn't see it as an issue that impacted them? Did the CEO ultimately offer to meet with you to discuss your issue face to face only to have you dismiss him?

SV is a private enterprise they can and will do as they wish. You have voiced your concern, now your oprtion is to resign yourself to the new policy and enjoy the great conditions or take your business elsewhere.

I'm not going to lock it, b/c there could always be new information that comes out on this issue and I don't want to stifle discussion,
    +1

People wanting it to be locked need only stop reading it. It will then be locked, for them. When everyone stops adding to it, it will sink away. Until then, it is breaking no rules except for common sense, and that is often par for the course, around here.

and I- I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

I wouldn't hold my breath on the remaining 2/10 being sold in this economy. Upon much reflection, I don't like the cutter program even though I don;t see it affecting me. The only weekends I have to wait in line or weekends I barely ever visit. However, i think it would be better business for SB to sell them to themselves, put them in the rental program and declare CB "fully sold." This isn't based on much other than

1 everything is for sale right now
2 nothing seems to be selling
3 sugarbush as a brand seems to be getting more popular/respect right now, why not end any aspect of negative will and find alternative ways to
get people excited for being up here

The great people and terrain make this particular program unnecessary....and if it leads to castlerock or heavens gate ever becoming "cutter" options I'll ski elsewhere mrg forever.

p.s. apologies for beating a dead horse without any new jokes, I just hope i didn't make any grammatical mistakes.

    Mikec13 - Great post.

DP - As much as some may want to believe - this is NOT a socialist country (yet). We all still believe in private enterprise. (at least I do) SV IS A PRIVATE COMPANY. NO - Sugarbush is NOT a private country club - just a private company and that is how it is run. If they need to do certain things so they can turn a profit - well so be it. You or I did not put up the capital and the risk associated with running the business. If you are really that unhappy with things, maybe you should explore other areas and see how things are done elsewhere. I worked at Killington for 3 years and skied there as a customer for 12. I was very unhappy with the way things were going and I switched mountains. I can tell you this for sure - I NEVER had the ear of the owner, and never saw the owner on the mountain since Pres Smith sold out to ASC. On the other hand - I see Win Smith ALL the time when I am up at Sugarbush. Although I do not know the man, I get the feeling he truly cares about Sugarbush and the finger print he leaves. This is not ass kissing - but as a property owner and a season pass holder, I feel lucky that he is at the reins.

Again, as I said in my previous post - Go take a private lesson, its $100.00 per hour and you will be able to cut the line all day. Otherwise, drive south about an hour and see what it is like there.

Lastly, stop the bitching! There's 21" of fresh pow out there.

Both of you entirely miss the point, especially in your previous post dj. Thanks for playing though.

    A point?

DP,I'm sorry... did you make a point? If so, we all lost your point a long time ago. Give it up. Isn't there anything else that's bothering you? Please tell us. We want to help you move on with your therapy.
