I vote for Dave at Mountainside. Great job and great service.
I need new boots since my old ones are spanked. Their like wet noodles & have no cushion whatsoever. I’ve been going to Alpine options but where would you go?
And secondly what is the deal with "Surefoot" ski boots. I see a lot of them at SB. Are they worth considering? I like the idea of comfort but I can’t sacrifice fit, as I prefer to barley even buckle my boots.

Two roads diverged in a wood,
and I- I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Alpine options know their stuff too. I have dealt with both and have been very happy!

wasn't there another thread about this?
I recall Joe at alpine Options getting heavy praise.

My $.02, Dave at Mountainside is great, and the convenience of stopping between runs is useful.
Dave gets my vote. The only thing I know about surefoot is I can't afford them. ; {Originally Posted by castlerock
Dave made some footbeds for me last year and the service was great...I had a tough time getting the right fit and the convenience of skiing in and having Dave tweak them until all was well was a big plus!
Big props for P.J. he knows his stuff inside and out.Originally Posted by groomer

PJ is great. Know his stuff. Can really fit boots. Even tho he is by appt. only, if you need to see him, he'll see you ASAP.
