    Skied Today

Had to go to Sunday River to ski today......really needed to make some turns. Bumped into and skied with several Sugarbush regulars. They had top to bottom plus ~ 139 guns blowing.... Also top to bottom. Was at Boston Ski and Sports Club Annual Snow Blizzard of Oz Party at the Roxy Thursday...where I learned about the opening of Sunday River that day and Sugarloaf Friday. But also learned that with a few more cold nights (which we seem to have had since then) that Stowe is thinking of open early.....like next Saturday. It is about time some one in Northern Vermont opens. It is weird to see ME to be first! With all the cold weather we have had I hope we are soon.

My vote is that Win make a surprise move to drop the ropes.....

Based on the forecast (which looks encouraging at 3000' starting Thursday) or inside info?

Win has been conspicuously quiet on this question.

You could have also skied Mt. Snow as I heard they opened Sat as well.

Indeed, but an earlier than anticipated opening is more precious still.

    The Sugarbush Snowmaking Crew....

    .....is doing an excellent job!

Hiked up yesterday to check out their work and it is getting very deep....
Mother Nature has thrown in a tiny portion herself up there, especially on the Long Trail.

Good judgment and discretion being applied to the schedule here.

Are we talking platinum? Diamonds? Enquiring minds want to know.

My guess is that Tree is right on the money... In fact, I'm changing my plans to make sure that I'm in VT this coming weekend.

BTW... Treeskier, Nice turns last Saturday
Trouble with you is the trouble with me,
Got two good eyes but we still don’t see!
