    Roxbury gap in summer

    Hi All,

Quick question. Is the Roxbury Gap generally okay to use in the summer, assuming that there has not been big rains beforehand?

    Thanks in advance.

Oh definitely. It's only in the winter it gets a bit sketchy - in summer it's just another fun, twisty Vermont road.

Ithaca is (not) Vermont (but it is gorges)

Not only ok... It is pretty.
    .
Two roads diverged in a wood,

and I- I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

Went over in a downpour late the other night, piece of cake. A couple of weeks ago I saw a pretty good sized bear along the road about halfway up on the Roxbury side. I stopped right next to him, me looking at him and him looking at me. I asked him if he knew Lostone, he just grunted and scampered off.
