I need some data to support my theory that I need new skis

I have new skis because I lost one in deep powder coming out of the woods by Paradise last year. Never liked the old ones anyway.

My rig us just about exactly 2 years old. I'm thinking its time to add a new pair of skis to my quiver. Perhaps something a bit lighter for bumps.

My skis(190)are only 4 years old but my poles are 40 years old and my boots are 30 years old. Bought them both brand new. Took some runs with Lostone today and everything still works fine, including the equipment... So don't go by me as it seems having a quiver of skis is all the rage these days.

Snowboard is a 2004-2005 model but I got it in the summer of 05 brand new... love it to death. Bindings are 2005-2006, boots are 04-05 I think... all holding up very well (it's so nice to keep equipment for a few years when you stop growing...)

As a parent of 3 kids(ages 16,18,20) all who snowboard, I think I can safely say your parents feel the same way...

Haha very true... my sister (4 years younger) still has a bit more growing to do though, so the process isn't totally over yet... she just got big enough to ride the board that was my first, back when I was her age, so that's taking the sting off a bit for my parents...

I have college age kids draining my bank account, so my equipment is older. I will admit to buying some items on ebay...but I don't ski on anything until a certified shop goes over it and gives it the OK. I may be cheap, but I'm not stupid.

As for me, I have an older quiver.

My newest skis are 3 years old. They have 69 days on them, and might be the pick for tomorrow.

My oldest two pair might be 8 years old, but have 183 and 137 days, respectively.

I was looking at some old Rossignols the other day, on the mountain. I was thinking about how old they were. Then I decided that they probably had many less days on the snow than the ones I was passing them on.
