    on the mtn today it skied like 2-5 inches. calling it 3 inches on the snow report was fair and accurate. twas a very nice day.

    Tin, Scott does a great job filling in my gaps in understanding meteorologist terminology.

    I wonder if the NWS double checks their work against his

    They should. Scott really has a gift of finding the happy medium between overly technical terminology and plain English. Especially considering he's just an engineering student at UVM, and not even a Met major, his track record and overall knowledge level are impressive.

    As for Saturday and Sunday, I note with the delight and giddyness of a 12 year old school girl that the NWS graphic is frecasting "Heavy Snow" for Saturday Night and Sunday. High fiiiive!
