    Win-Win Situation for Timbers?

    Anyone agree, or disagree????

    Modified excerpt from “Sugarbuzz”

    Timbers
Timbers’ Vermont round barn, post and beam
construction fits in perfectly with the rest of Lincoln
Peak Village this season. With 6,000 square feet and
45 foot vaulted ceilings, it is a dining location like no
    other.
    Breakfast: 7 days: 7:30-10am
    Lunch: 7 days 11am-3pm

APRES SKI Saturday and Sunday 2pm-6pm

    Dinner: Mon-Thurs, 5-9pm & Fri-Sun, 5-10pm
    Call 802-583-6800 for reservations.

Wait-service table seating in the center of the room, for après ski appetizers and drinks from 2:00-6:00
    Grand piano and/or jazz guitar from 4:00 – 6:00.
Semi-formal dining from 5:00 - 6:00 could be supported at the perimeter tables, which are conveniently separated.

    Results:
    Satisfied guests.
    Much more revenue.
Relief for the “apparently” overburdened bartender (took 12 minutes to be “noticed” while sitting at the bar on Saturday afternoon as we watched the bartender straining with reconciling charges for customers who were already served and had a tab on-going. Even simple eye contact or a greeting from the bartender would have sufficed........................”
Relief for the overcrowding of Castle Rock Pub.
Somewhere for a “different” atmosphere if desired.
Good way to train evening hours semi-formal dining wait staff, during lunch and après ski time.
Great use of empty heated space.
    Did I mention the revenue?

    Pitfalls to watch for:
It could get rowdy and loud if too crowded, to the displeasure of semi-formal diners at 5:00 PM.
Too many non-working wait staff on the payroll at first.

Timbers is an awesome meeting place, and hopefully will catch on soon with some of the après crowd.
A glass of single malt, two cabernets, a long trial, and one of each of the appetizers for the table.........x10.....per hour.....

    Sorry,
    "Sugarbuzz" is the Resort Newsletter.

BTW this post was meant to be a suggestion box for Apres Ski activity expansion at Timbers, which we all have heard we need more of from guests who care about the area, and would like to see it prosper and become successfully "balanced" considering; cost, profitability, environment, and experience.
Now that I have re-read it, this post really could have been clearer than it is, but post lunch hour call to order cut the review time short........

Hopefully it holds some positive interest for the the forum readers/guests as well as resort management , and bears some fruit!

Was there for opening weekend. Fantastic food! Service was a bit slow, but for the opening weekend, not unexpected. Bartenders need to be more attentive, too. Will definitely continue to go! Haven't tried apres fare there...yet!

There needs to be a door closer to the Castlerock Pub to allow for easier back-and-forth.
