Sad week in the Sugarbush Community

Guy Capeel, Tony Capeel's husband passed away. Tony is a long time ski instructor, most recently with the woman's turns.
Then Bill Carpenter, the old ski patroller usually called "Carpy" also died yesterday. Let the snow gods remember them fondly!

I never knew Guy or Tony, but spoke with Carpy many times.

    Sad the hear for both.

    respect to their families
    .
Two roads diverged in a wood,

and I- I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

Yes. They were both wonderful people and great supporters of Sugarbush. Guy was always on the mountain and looked far younger than his age. Carpy was one of the "greats". Hoover Austin intoduced me to Carpy years ago and told me that he hired Carpy, his boss in the Reserves, because Stowe felt he was too old to patrol. That was probably 40 years ago. We will all miss both of these fine gentlemen skiers and fans of The Bush.
