    Conditions Update?

    How are things?

I'm hoping to be there on March 3rd with a friend.

I skied MRG last Friday 2/10 and conditions were pretty good. They had just gotten 3-4 inches of fresh snow the night before so that helped things quite a bit. I skied all over the mountain and conditions were better than I expected. I skied in some trees, some easier crusiers and some of the legendary bump trails (Lynx to Beaver, Paradise, Panther, Slalom Hill, Upper & Lower Glade, etc) and found them to be surprisingly good.

They sure could use some big snow storms (especially before your visit in early March) but then again, which mountain in New England can't claim the same thing?

I was there Thursday and there were some awesome spring conditions. There was nice soft snow and Catamount and Chute were skiing great. The coverage was a little thin but that's expected since we haven't seen the white stuff in a while and it was pretty warm. Unfortunately it rained and then froze hard on Friday. I imagine conditions are challenging at best right now. Pray for snow.

The first thing in the ski report sat am was: The bar opens at 11am.

At this point, short of closing, it can only get better.

Heard they got 20 inches over the last few days. Is it good skiing?
