Serious dumpage showing on the webcam!

Looking good on the webcam,... we should be in great shape after the next 5 days given what they are getting now and the next few days!

Sweet. I can't tell from the webcams, but hopefully we didn't lose everything that was there. I played hooky and skied Friday, glad I did, I bailed on Sunday and it was pouring the whole way back to MA.

Anybody try the new place where the grill down under used to be? BTW, the review of that restaurant a few years back has to be the top 5 funniest posts ever on this board.

Snow Report is saying 3" of new snow but in the snow columns it says 0" Summii 0" MidMtn and 0" Base.

Hard to tell from the webcams.

I did, kind of. Ordered take out. The good, the food was really fantastic. We are not novice Thai food consumers and this was legitimitely good. The bad, they are still working the kinks out of the operation. Ordered an hour in advance and still had to wait 45 minutes for the food. Owner said they were awaiting the arrival of a second cook. Went there on the spur of the moment Saturday after New Years and they wouldn't seat us despite the place being virtually empty.

I definitely want to check them out at some point, but I think I will give them at least a couple more weeks to work out the kinks. Their website right now suggests placing to-go orders a day in advance! Their 2nd chef was supposed to arrive January 7th though. I'll have to remember to make a reservation whenever I decide to go.

While we r on the subject of food, I spoke to Dino (mutha stuffers) he bought the old pine tree and is in the process of all kinds of renovations. He's a great guy and really wish him the best of luck in giving that place a go. Last couple of years it was run by (let's just say) some real knuckle heads,... Come on - I have never heard of a restaraunt that has a full kitchen outsourcing food service! Anyway - I am sure he will do a great job and looking forward to seeing all the new changes in there.

I just read this on their website:
"Help andupgrades are on the way, so please be patient. This also helps, if you are planning on "To Go" orders plan ahead,if you can calla day in advance we will prep your order so that it is ready for you on time. "

Sorry, but you can't make this stuff up - "call 1 full day in advance so we can prep your order" In case the guys that run that place are reading this - if I have to plan a meal 1 full day in advance, most likely I will be cooking it myself.

Yea, I'm looking forward to that. Dino told me about it back in December. This week he was talking about all the crap the previous people left behind. Apparently they left a huge mess. With the things Dino said he found, you're probably better off the previous people weren't doing any actual cooking in the kitchen!

I can confirm 3" of snow more or less t2b. I will update again tomorrow after more precip falls. Didn't lose as much as I expected to. Still decent coverage on naturals with some bare spots. It is quite firm underneath. We will need to see the higher end of predictions, but MLK should be good.

Ya the mess they left Dino is pretty ugly. Some of it actually goes back 2 operators. That is a pretty cool space. It amazes me that no one has made a good go of it there. I mean it is close to the hill, there are tons of people that live very close and they have a decent size kitchen and lots of seating space. Dino said that this will be more family oriented. I think that is great for the heart of the season but I will be curious to see how he does on the fringe seasons and summer. I too hope he does well. In my opinion, reasonable prices with a good solid core selection of food works best in the valley. I think the Hyde Away and the Mad River Barn have hit the mark pretty good. We will see.
Trouble with you is the trouble with me,
Got two good eyes but we still don’t see!

Looks like a day for South...judging by the web cams at North not much more than a dusting fell. Amazing how different the two areas can be sometimes. Still wish you could get a decent snow report from North but they'd almost have to have to hire another snow reporter. And if you call the Snow Phone is seems like they have like 3-5 different people doing it depending on time of day. In previous years it seemed to be mostly John Atkinson.

Here's a tip- read the SB snow Report for temps, what open, groomed and where snownaking is. For honest report about the conditions you will be skiing and not marketing fluff go read the MRG report, they tell it like it is. I like to know what im going to encounter and so I can also tell my kids if it is a sheet of ice or not.

It's strange that north got less. Usually they get more. Either way the base is solid now so all we need is one good storm and we will be in better shape.

Probably advisable to wait until MRG opens.
