SNOWBLADES?

Has anyone ever tried snowblades and if so are they easier on the knees?

We ski with a crew of kids who like skiing with shorties. They bomb around the resort and have a good time until they hit flat terrain or deep snow. They seem to have more control in the packed areas than snowboarders but work harder on the flats.

Not sure about knees, but do look like fun.
