    Thunder Snow!

Very impressive Thunder Snow event this evening...went on for a good 10 minutes! Several bursts of lightning, many rolls of thunder, kinda strange but really cool. Anyone else?

Just above the base area at Lincoln Peak... same thing!

Today we have seen IT ALL....
The weird winds affected only Bravo this morning, until 9:30
Bluebird skies and great views at the top of Heaven's Gate, clouding up after noon
Snow started lightly around 3, heavy by 3:30-4:00 through 6-7:00
    Brief change to sleet
Back to snow with thunder and lightning

This is my first thundersnow event and I can now see why Jim Cantore (TWC) gets amped when it happens!

I didn't go outside but I think we also saw some freezing rain at the base from what I saw out my condo window. Can anyone that has been outside comment? Seems we are back to snow now, hopefully it will stay that way.

Snow on my deck has a little crust on it, so there was definitely a brief period of some frozen "funk".
(I don't use the R word - even if it is of the freezing variety)
