    Roads condition heads up

As I do most every year, even with all the high tech road apps out there, calling 1-800-ICY-ROAD is still a great resource to know about. I know it's a sticky but really, whoever reads them It's voice directed so you can specify which section of road you want to find out about. It's run by the Vermont DOT so it's as close to up-to-the-minute as your gonna get. It's abit slow and it takes a small learning curve on the prompts but after all, it's Vermont.

good advice... another option is www.511vt.com where there are interstate webcams and while it may not be up to the minute, it does give you a good overview of current road conditions.
