Probably advisable to wait until MRG opens.
Fox has been wrong before, plenty of times. Here's to more of that!
Does the rock pile in the center of the photo split the traverse, with Steins and Mall traffic bearing left?
The sharp right turn required to exit the chair at the top is also challenging for novice skiers. Improvement all around.
Thanks, cd. I'll pay more attention next time! I take your point that the groomer wouldn't turn itself off just to make my visit more challenging!
Non-expert skier's perspective...I checked the trail report and noticed that Castlerock Run was groomed a couple Saturday's ago. I never ski Castlerock, as I'm not a good enough skier to handle it. ...
I think a CRP beer-only station might help (or perhaps beer and a shot?). We fled CRP Sunday afternoon near 4 due to the crowd (I find that the ladies tire of standing), but Timbers was open.

Stowe's welders ski all terrain!...
It's not that big a deal. Perhaps I'm a bit stiff (likely evident in my skiing!)? The main sitting area (near the bar) would be more accessible and comfortable if the larger tables were replaced by...
Well, I suppose we just disagree on this. Our kids are now of drinking age. We wouldn't have ever considered bringing them into a bar before that. "Check your environment"---CRP is a bar, no...
Nothing against kids, but they really don't belong in a bar, for a few reasons. I'd think the annex would work fine for families.
"I like the idea of high tables in the crp to allow more folks to have a place to rest a beer. Another thing we noticed on our few visits is the non skiiing mom that snags a table and 8 chairs, sits...
"Hell, I'd buy a Claybrook condo if there was a way to get a beer on some days."
Now, I don't mind the Claybrookers cutting the lift lines, but no cutting the beer line!
Well, I guess we all agree that CRP leaves much to be desired. I'd suggest leaving the annex as is, but replacing several of the large tables in the middle of the room with smaller and taller tables...
Someone brought up congestion on Birch. I totally agree. I think Lynx should be rethought. Birch is viewed as an "upper mountain" experience by intermediate skiers and is wrecked by noon by...

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you were being sarcastic. I think ownership has an obligation to respond to criticism raised by any customer. This forum is a good place to gather ideas, and I'd...
"Keep posting though. I love it. It cracks me up and I need a good smile today as I try and push through my work day before getting in the car for the drive up. I mean even I admit this thread has...

OK, thanks.
OK, I see your point. Skier visits overall down 9%, something else "overall" (perhaps total revenue?) down 5%. Regardless, this year appears to be a down year to date.
Win wrote: "My comment at the time is that our day skier visits were down 9% from last year and overall we are down about 5%." I'd guess that a "day skier" is anyone who didn't buy a pass of any...
