I say let the knitters, kids, non drinkers all hang out in the crowded, dark and depressing CRP as that will leave the Wunderbar and Timbers with more room.
I hope so, it really promoted a lot of new people to come up to my house last winter for a visit and to ski Sugarbush.
Did I say the town had no services? I only said "I" do not use any of the towns services except their plowing and their crappy finally paved roads (which is probably state run). Act 60 is way too...
Ugh!! I was wondering why my tax bill went up 17%!!! Act 60 needs to go. My tax bill has gone up 700% since 1997 when i bought my house. If I ever knew i would never have bought and now i am...
It gets incredible snow most winters. They are still snowmobiling in that area on a ton of snow as we speak. This pictuers was taken 2 days ago by some locals. Every time i have ridden by the base...
You have my vote on that one. Not a Generation Y but avoid the dark, depressing CRP like the plague. Love hanging at the Wunderbar though and would welcome any other non basement like Pubs.
North is definitely set up much better for both Spring Skiing and the Apre ski experience that goes along with it, but if I owned a condo at South that is where i would want spring skiing to be. ...
When I found out about the Quad Pack I was psyched. It's a huge help for the ski house members who are not hardcore enough to justify a pass and who also couldn't justify paying $89 to ski 8 times. ...
Hey Ducky, Thanks for the great idea. Do you think any of them would be weekend employees looking for a place?
Actually haven't had any 20 somethings. I lost 10 people this year. All were 30's and 40's. What you need are hardcore skiers with money to burn for passes or tickets. The area doesn't offer a...
Thanks Tree, really appreciate it.
It gets harder and harder every year. The 20 something pass isn't really helping, they want really cheap places to stay and my place is cheap but not cheap enough.
Its not a timeshare i was referring too but doing a share in a ski house. You get a bed for the season and use of the house seasonally and sometimes year round.
Taxes are definitely driving current 2nd home owners out and prospective buyers away. Its hard to stomach paying such high taxes as an out of stater when we receive nothing except for beautiful...
Thanks Hawk. Hopefully I can move it in the next couple years. Its listed at $70k under appraised value (as of last summer). People know in this market they can make an offer and would entertain...
Not sure about the condo market but i can tell you there is zero interest in a well priced large ski home.
I hope not. I have land up there waiting to be built on once I sell my sugarbush house, which may take years. Only $1million dollar properties sell up there these days..
Sweet!! They are the one thing that will make me step foot in the CRP. Can't wait!!
MtnMan Speak is easy. I work with a lot of Indians. Now that is a challenge. In order to understand the MtnMan speak you need to level the playing field and drink a few extra cocktails. It...
I believe what he is saying is if you drive slow then exit 4 (his preferred route) is closed. Its kind of like telling beginners skiers that good bump runs are closed so the lines don't get ruined. ...
Bummer, we just filled our house. Good Luck
Well ticket prices were released. At this rate of yearly ticket increases we will break the $100 mark in a few years. Not good for getting my friends up to visit. They used to come up and ski but...
They haven't posted 2012 lift ticket prices yet have they? That usually gets a few of us going.
Thanks Hawk! That is where we are heading. I bought some land in Newry Maine and is 4 miles to the mountain and has access to the snowmobile trails. My wife and I will probably still do a half...
