SB really needs to get on board with it. Lines flow so much better, no empty chairs, etc.
Maybe more importantly, this year, especially lately, I've found the folks manning the guns to be a really...
Its spirit.
Thanks, appreciate the response.
Seems to be an ongoing issue, hope it gets sorted.

Ok, I gotta ask. Why were the guns blowing water today? I thought these guns were the latest and greatest?

So in essence, our ski area is telling us the lifts are constantly screwed up because it's cold and snowy. On boy.

Soooo, where are the snow guns? Only enough for 2 runs on LP?
Nice.

Actually, they could buy a break.
Jesus H. Christ - don't get me started with the early ups thing again. What crap.
[QUOTE=Hawk;223728]I missed you guys saying that the HG will open at 8. So that also means that the 7:30 people will be in line there first. Sounds like I will be going to Castle Rock and North...
The latest installment of the Strattonization of Sugarbush can be nothing but bad juju for the resort. Making the best skiing available only to those who are willing and able to pay the $500 up...
What? When ASC operated the place they had a farm of rented generators in the maintenance lot at the bottom of Bravo. Its fact, and they made a whole lot more snow then. The good news is that we have...
So tops on my wish list, aside from the world's most powerful (and efficient of course) snowmaking system, is a new and/or improved sharc. Seems like the next organic step here now that the hotel and...
Fair enough, I'm glad they got it fixed. I skied it early twice and was blind after the first 2 turns. I didn't even know it was possible to blow wet snow at those temps. Gotta say though Win, I am...
Agreed. I hate to say it, but I've literally never seen worse snowmaking than at Sugarbush.
Yesterday pretty much every gun on the hill blew wet. Today, the results are as you'd expect. Stuff that skied well(lower og) froze up.
What gives, and don't blame the temp, this does not happen...
Go up slidebrook from GF road. No traffic, groomed,, lots of good options to ski down. Going to need some snow first though.

Air compressors can work on electricity (we know that is restricted by GMP, especially at holiday time), and combustible fuel. So would buying diesel or propane or natural gas compressors...
"in the past 24 hours we have made snow on 11 trails..."
Our only favorable snowmaking comparison is to Mad River. Really.
Meant to be totally constructive, as I'll be found lapping JesterSpout this weekend should we reopen, and nodding with understanding when Shaun tells me the wings are sold out at 4 saturday afternoon.
Interesting indeed. This goes straight to the chicken and egg arguement.
Chicken:' Who the hell will make a serious investment in a ski resort with such an anemic and hugely, massively,...
That's great news, let's hope for the best. I'd love to know what the chances of skiing Friday/Saturday are? Any thoughts?
