I'm pretty sure Alpine Options rents tele gear. At least they did a few years ago when I tried tele and rented from them.
Orca, thanks for sharing this - fascinating reading!
Took this pic from the parking lot by Forum at about 4:30 AM.
Now that the first phase of Rice Brook is done, does anyone know if the walkway in front of the Farmhouse will be extended over to it?
Wow the web cam looks great this morning!
I was thinking a big helicopter, but I guess that would be pretty expensive. Any ROI would have to be from concessions so it might be too long of a payback (or $20 chili!!).
Why can't they move the old ski rental/ski school building that was in the sprung structure area (now located down by the snow making compressor building) up to the top of Gatehouse? Seems like that...
Oops the server re-ordered my pictures! The second pic shows the out to lunch trail.
Here are some pictures I took on Sunday of the foundation site. Pretty much only a big hole at this point. On the last picture you can see the work being done to the Out to Lunch trail. I'm not...
It looks like Mother Nature is helping out too. It won't be long now!
I was up this weekend and on Saturday they were delivering a bunch of heavy equipment like bulldozers, etc... to the site (sorry, no pics). So it looks like they might be starting on the foundation...
I found a notice on the Warren town site that talks about some minor changes that have been submitted. It says a decision will be made by August 31st. (I tried to attach it but the file size is too...
Didn't make it up for the 4th this year so didn't have a chance to see if any construction had started on Rice Brook. As of about a month ago they still hadn't broken ground. If they have by now...
Great discussions here. Can anyone give a current snow making status for those of us flat-landers trying to make weekend plans? It seems like it should be cold enough to make snow the next few...
Has anyone had any success with Over The Air antennas to get broadcast TV signals in the MRV? I've had some limited success in the wintertime in Sugarbush village. Not sure what will happen with...
We went to Pine Tree on Saturday night - called first to make sure they were open. They were having a "soft opening", small menu, cash only, but there was a good crowd and both the reggae band and...
Well that Prinoth looked pretty nice. I actually saw that Tucker makes some pretty nice cats too (same brand as the old 4 track model on display). Did you look at those too?

Ah - found it. I think it was a Prinoth BR350. Not sure why it was on the flatbed on Monday.

I saw a silver colored, really aerodynamic looking snow cat parked in the maintenance area near Super Bravo on Sunday. Then on Monday I saw the same cat on a flatbed (with tracks off) at Mac's on...
Still not sure why it isn't loading for me. I think it must be my ISP Green Mountain Access.
Anyone else having problems getting to Sugarbush.com?
Just saw the steps last weekend and was very impressed. They are way more substantial than I envisioned. Nice work!
I found this interesting Guide to Snowflakes from Caltech that I thought people might like. Some of these pictures are apparently from Vermont!

Treeskier, I'll help you with the Paradise regen zone tree transplantation project next summer if you can figure out how to get permission.
