Don't know enough about the competition to say who's the best, but have had two pairs of boots fitted there and am very happy with them.

Good to know about the fridge upstairs. The lost revenue is incredible. Almost always up going home and drinking / snacking there if at South. North and The Basebox, while ancient, are much better.
Sounds great, and prudent. Conveyor belt a nice touch!
ClayBrookers shouldn't be cutting at HG. It's limited to Bravo and Gatehouse. If it's going on, they should be tossed.
If the fixed quad is a lot cheaper and means more investment elsewhere, works for me. Also, a HSQ is just too many people on too few trails over there. The beauty of Sugarbush is the lack of...
Well, even if they did adopt a policy that allowed some uphill travel, it wouldn't be during operating hours. So you're talking early am and evening.
Something productive might be to mock up a...
SugarBowl put in a 1000' vertical fixed grip triple (which I think is what was talked for VH) for $3mm
Clearly need to spend more time in the woods if you're complaining. I've always enjoyed the music at Sugarbush. Find myself humming or singing along sometimes. Granted Sirius has gotten worse over...
I agree with the other posts here. Lunchtime has been unbearable, even at 11:30. Hasn't helped that Gatehouse went from a "no bags on the floor" policy to one that suggests it's better not to have...
Good stuff Yard Sale. I'm not a regular poster, but am a regular reader once summer is over. IMHO, the new fonts and such since the switchover are not as good. Maybe it's me getting old and I need...
Missed it this year (still sailing). Any updates of note from attendees? Much appreciated.
+1! (or maybe 2-3)
Here's my review of Phresheez so far, on an iPhone at South for the past two weekends. Seems to do a good job of figuring out which trails I'm on and tallying up runs, vertical, top speeds, etc. ...
Yeah, once I realized my el-cheapo watch wasn't accurate, I went back to the old-school method. Problem is you get a few beers in you after skiing, and the numbers get kind of squishy. Before my...
I sometimes try to track my vertical for something to do. Had an altimeter watch but the accuracy seemed subpar. I have a Colorado and have MotionX on my phone that I've used for sailing. Seemingly...
Skating rink is at the top of my list. We'd hang out more at the mountain with the kids at the end of the day, which means we'd spend more money on food and drinks too.
Attended, with no axe. New to the program. Have two kids in mini-Blazers who are enjoying it and getting better every day. Win started off and spoke a few times in the meeting. He's clearly...
Talk to me Goose...
Stuck down here in Mass for a couple more days. What's the on-mountain report? Snow, r___, ice pellets?
Taking from the Gatehouse thread, it seems likely GSL won't go forward without some more sales at Claybrook. Is there anything we can do to help move those last remaining units? I know Sugarbush is...
Funny, I was commenting to the Admiral how empty it seemed for the conditions. I did get stuck in the single line on SuperBravo around 11:30, but otherwise never spent more than a minute in line. ...
It may not be that difficult or expensive for them to accomodate us. Obvisouly Unicell / Cingular already has a tower somewhere in or near the Valley. I would be surprised if there wasn't space...
This data from Wireless Week is national, but does offer some guidance:
Cingular subs 52.3mm
Verizon 49.3mm
Sprint Nextel 45.6mm
T-Mobile 20.3mm
My circle of friends...
One has to wonder about someone who would have their own website dedicated to proper usage of GMRS frequencies. A bit uptight for the average MRV skier.
Also, wondering if everytime you order...
I forgot my hockey skates, so had a tough time negotiating my way down to the lift from DownSpout. My friend took a hard digger, and is pretty banged up still. That was probably deserving of more...
You probably won't want to miss CastleRock and maybe Paradise (both at South). The extra distance on the way from Montpelier is neglible. If you get there early, go straight to South. If you are...
