Went to Sunday River today...a B-day gift from my brother. While it had lots of cover it sadden me to see they where mowing down their best bumps. Went to ski the steeps on White Heat to find it closed! They where farming the snow for some event this weekend which will use only the bottom of the hill and leave all of that peak closed for the rest of their season according to a ski patroler.

and all those bumps on Shock Wave will also not be accessible either

Glad Sugarbush is not mowing all their fine steep bumps! Plus they are also staying open through April 27th and maybe weekend into May....

How sad! I've had some great late season days on the Heater and it is sad to see it groomed flat in the Spring. The past few years, they have closed White Heat early, but you could always hike over from the top of Locke Mountain. Did you have a chance to check out Agony and Caramba? They usually have some fun bump lines.
