Okay, at some point during the season, a sign went up at the base of Birdland/Murphy's Glades at the Lower Jester left turn, advertising it as "Carpy's Corner". What is this? Who is Carpy? Is this a new wooded area or just a name for the junction of those trails?

Carpy was a long time Sugarbush ski patroller who passed recently and that corner was a favorite place for him to hang out. It's a specific memorial, so I don't think there will be lots of new naming opportunities, as you suggest.

Here's to Carpy!

I had no idea - thanks for the info.

(since this wasn't an arbitrary placement at a trail junction, previous remarks made by me to name other jcts has been removed)
