How about a float powered by a woodstove?

Unfortunately, burning wood for power is not a clean source of energy as it produces alot of pollution into the air. Think solar, hydro or wind. Very Happy

What about "Bio-wood"?

I have heard of "bio-wood", neither has google or wilkepedia. Do you mean wood pellets for pellet stoves?

Laughing

Perhaps tin or lostone should move this to a thread about alternative energy as I don't want to hijack your thread anymore. Very Happy

BTW, Yestermorrow School, just north of Mac's, just received a big state award for their committment and contribution to teaching innovative ways to the green way of building.

What time does the parade start? We always go to the outhouse races/parade in Bristol which start at 8 with the races, parade follows at 10ish. If the Warren parade is later, I'd like to pop over after Bristol.
FWIW, you all should go to the outhouses races at some point in your life. It's a riot.

Parade starts around 10am, whenever Clive decides to light the cannon. 10, 10:08, 10:12 somewhere around there.

Definitely think the Al Gore " An Inconvenient Truth " theme should make an appearance in this year's parade with the Oscar and all. Gotta be some ideas in there somewhere.

Politics?? In the Warren Parade?? Unheard of. Rolling Eyes You all are on the right track. Now for a catchy name.... I liked Wind-Dependence Day, but want to be more inclusive of other types of alternative energy.
