I have seen many torchlight parades but I still get a thrill everytime I see one. The one at the Bush is very well done and the fireworks are awesome too.

Here is a pic from a few years ago

When asked "Where is the Clock Tower?" at LP, you can confidently say "We ran out of time to get it back this season. But next season, it will be located atop the Ski Valet Building in the Plaza".

Haha... got me a nice Timex Ironman back in 5th grade and it still works damn well... battery replaced only once...

Not like you could really see the time on the clock tower from anywhere but 10 feet away anyway...

Lostone, thanks for the quote...

There's a New Year's Eve party at Localfolk Smokehouse with a funk-rock band (can't remember their name), champagne and party favors for $10 cover.

Here is Big Picture's plan for the Holiday: http://www.madrivervalley.com/events/detail/20071213_saborband.htm Teens are welcome when accompanied by adults.

First Night Montpelier is a good event: http://www.madrivervalley.com/events/detail/20071211_firstnight.htm

Bundy Ball: http://www.madrivervalley.com/events/detail/20071214_bundyball.htm

Purple Moon Pub is open, but no plans for a big event.
