Well, it took a lot longer to get things set than I thought it would... but that is my life. Embarassed Wink

I finally got some of the pix sorted and posted and thought I'd share them with y'all.

The main one is this one...

It shows a very carefully computed scientific formula, developed by Dr noski, to determine the amount of snow we can expect to receive, this year.

Date (10) + Temp @ top of Mad River Glen, that morning (30) + # hard frosts (2) * number of leaves that fell in the pail (7) =

294" snow for the year!

Now, for those who would like more than that... ( That would be most of us? Very Happy ) remember that this forcast is for the Mad River Valley, and "There's always more on the mountain!" Cool

Participants were recruited from near and far, both younger ones

And those... Embarassed ... who used to be younger. Wink

There were fun and games.

There was the countdown to peak foliage, and the gathering of the leaves in the pail and filling out the leaf forms, to determine the amount of snow guaranteed by Dr. noski's formula.

Then there Then there was the Plaid of the Mad contest.

There were smiles and laughter. It was a good time. Cool

You can see a few more of my pix from the day, here:

last part of page 7, and all of page 8

Edit because URL no longer points at the peak foliage celebration.

I couldn't decide which plaid pattern to wear, so I wore them all. You know who the guy in the orange shirt is?
