Anyone with questions? Jimmy Yozell is back for his 35th year, and Mad Mountain Scramblers on the school field. Daevious, I will once again be a Dumpster Diva so will gladly pick up your lunch trash. We could use some "Friends of the Fourth"- head to www.Warren4thofJuly.com and make a $25+ pledge- either businesses or Friends.

This year's theme: "The Sacrifice of Liberty".

If you have a condo along the access road / LP south area, what do folks suggest in terms of parking / getting down and back from the parade ? Any suggestions of savvy and sneaky ways to beat the crowds would be appreciated.

There will be a shuttle from the LP base area down to the village. Check the schedule on Warren4thofjuly.com.

Win beat me to it. I am trying to get more buses so the LP to Lincoln Gap Turnaround has more coverage. I think we need 3 buses on that run and 2 for Yestermorrow to Warren Village.

Does anyone down south have a copy of Sunday's NY Daily News Travel Section where they feature this parade on page 3? I can't get a copy locally and their circulation dept doesn't handle those since they are a stand alone insert.

Don't forget we need some Friends of the Fourth >>> www.Warren4thofJuly.com

My answer was going to be that if you want to drive, get there very early, and plan to leave later. But I would also have pointed out that the busses are a much better option in many ways. Cool

Think about all those cars fogging the air to go such a small distance, then looking for the last parking spot... down in Granville. Rolling Eyes

Take the bus. It will be crowded, but everyone is in a good mood and you can get into the "There is no hurry. Take your time and enjoy yourself" mode. Wink

And that's a good mode to be in for summer in the valley. Cool

You should probably stash it in your cooler of beer, but then again, you cooler won't make it past checkpoint charlie....so scratch that idea....

Remember- fireworks are JULY 3 at Lincoln Peak, so plan ahead to arrive timely!!

Parking, or walking in ? Bring blankets ? Chairs ? Any thoughts appreciated.

Hard to say, as this year is a little more discombobulated than past, but here are a few of my thoughts.

If you've ever seen the line trying to get out of there, you would find walking better, if you are close. Blankets or chairs, depend on what you want to do. many have picnics and play games of frisbee and wiffleball. Smile

I like to walk over and walk around and check everything out. Then, I walk past the line of cars to head home, after it is done. Cool

(I live in Sugarbush village.)

Bring a smile.... and one to share. Wink

Walking if you can is definitely what I would recommend. We will have people helping with the parking and crowd control. However, much of the parking area is still a contruction site, so it will be more limited this year than in the past or the future. Hogan's Pub at the golf course will be open for dinner and drinks before and after the fireworks and the team there will escort people up to the 7th Fairway where there will be a good view of the fireworks.

Or should you wait for the SB escorts ? Positively my last question.

I have seen the fireworks from across the valley but nothing beats the thrill of being at the LP base area. This isn't Giants Stadium, it's laid back Vermont. You park your car carry your stuff to where other people are set up. In years past the bottom of Spring Fling next to the Snowcreek condos worked pretty well but with the construction maybe between GHQ and the VD would work good. Once you park your car it should be pretty obvious. I will be in Vermont for the weekend but have to back in Maine on Monday so I will miss the fireworks....way jealous of you lucky dogs!
