Nice word. Any chance for a picture to save the remaining 999 words?
Pretty please

Stop it fellas; you are killing me. It's snowing hard here in MA, hopefully some of this will filter north!

Any elaborations on the conditions of The Mall, Win? I'm thinking of hitting it up soon.... how are the bumps? Good coverage? Slick on the backside? Lower half (below Twist) was good last week.... a lot nicer and softer than Lower Twist.

I am very protective of my new Mantras, so I asked a few people about The Mall before I ventured down it yesterday along with my friend who had a brand new pair of Dynastar Sultans (first day) We hit no rock and had a blast. There is not a lot of depth and the moguls are small, but the snow is edgeable and fun and it makes one feel like they have mastered The Mall. If and when we get some snow and we keep these temperatures it is going to be exceptional. I would expect that we will see a lot of traffic on all the trails this weekend, so if you want to experience what I did, get on it early this Saturday. I found skier left the line to be.

But remember, I am the owner, so I am probably grossly exaggerating, so you will be better off skiing Pushover Chutes!

LOL on the Pushover Chute....!!!

I'm rockin' a new setup this year as well, but that has not stopped me from tackling Castlerock (finally last Thursday), Domino, Twist, and such. Going to Mt Ellen in the AM, and may take a final run at LP on The Mall. First time (and last time) I did The Mall was April 2008, so I'm overdue. Much rather do it without the lift spinning, so its Friday or bust.

Here's to a busy President's Weekend/Week ahead!

Going on the advice of Win, I gave The Mall a shot, after spending the morning today at Mt Ellen. However it wasn't until I was about halfway down when I realized Win said skier's left, and there I was on the right. A couple thin spots on the backside of the bumps, but they were manageable and the snow was edgeable. I took a few breaks going down, and it worked my legs pretty good. Still I'm glad I hit it up when I did - but it would be a lot better with some more snow.

Shady Jay- did you ski Twist to Lower Moonshine yesterday; it was all groomed. I remember skiing the Mall back when is was 1/2 the width it is now (20 years ago). There was one line on either side of the tower. It's too bad we have lost alot of trees along Stein's side of the trail.

I did not do Twist -> Moonshine... after a run down the Mall, I did Snowball->Racer's and then Snowball->Spring Fling. The Mall gave my legs a workout, like it always does.
