...my two favorite seasons. Ok, I actually don't (glancing furtively around...)care much for winter, I wish it could be May all the time. But here I am, one of winters biggest advocates.

Now we move to the 4th of July. This year is #60, and is named a Top Ten Summer Event by the VT Chamber of Commerce. The theme is "Warren's #60: Back to the Future". There are a couple of cool new entries in the parade this year. Lostone and SRO will find them with their camera.

Buddy Badges are back. Find your matching numbered badge in the crowd of thousands and maybe you will win a prize.

We are now accepting sponsorships and donations. Maybe this is a good time for ALPINE ZONE/SKIMRV to band together as a sponsor (ahem...Greg) and maybe devise a float....

I'd also like to put in a plug for the parade on the 4th.

After I bought my place up here and had a place I could (cheaply Wink ) reliably stay at, I would always come up for the weekend of the 4th. But, as I had a limited amount of days to hike, I never wanted to spend the time at a parade.

When I moved up, and had all the time in the world to hike, Cool I decided to spend the day going down to check it out.

It was terrific fun! Very Happy I was amazed they could get that many people into Warren! There were a ton of the winter folk, come up for the celebration, and so many locals. Great floats and a great time! Very Happy

My pix from last year are here.

And despite the number of people, there, it is a shoestring budget operation. So if you can see your way thru helping them, I'm sure noski will appreciate it.

And she has said that, if we have a good enough parade, we'll get 2 to 5 2-3' snow dumps, next year. . . each month of the winter that she really loves. Wink
