I can not be objective, but I will say that today was one of my best days of the season. I met up with Greg and several AZ members and did a couple of runs down Twist and the Mall with them after having done several runs elsewhere. The winds out of the Northwest were brutal and the summits were not open , but the wind was not quite a bad as we had feared down low. ME was hit hard, but Bravo, Gate House and Castlerock ran until the end of the day, and the trails and the woods off of these lifts were really sweet. My favorite trail of the day was The Mall, and I continue to be amazed how few people ski or ride this trail on a powder morning. The sun came out in the afternoon. We could have some early winds in the am, but once ME opens and Heaven's Gate and North Lynx do as well, there is going to be some amazing stuff over the weekend. This is going to be another great Spring!
The telemark World Cup had their final race today, and these were amazing athletes from around the World. Both the men's and the women's overall cup was won by Norwegians. We were really honored to host this final World Cup set of races at Sugarbush!
