Folks,

About 30 people (at one time) from AlpineZone, our sister site, are descending on SB on Friday. You can read more about it HERE or see a current list of attendees HERE. I don't think a meeting time or spot has been made, but count on Gate House Lodge Friday Morning. It goes without saying that anyone from here is welcome to join up for skiing/riding or a beer afterwards...

And I will be there.

Looking forward to seeing the group!

The only problem is that the winds are forecasted to be really howling late Thursday into Friday. There might have to be some hiking!

Good luck with Heaven's Gate if it's windy...

Just checked my To-Do list, and it said... ski. Rolling Eyes

I will try to hook up at some part of the day. If I'm into powder mode, I'll be out early. Won't know until I check to see how much new snow is on Vera. NOAA isn't looking too positive, but I'm hoping. Cool

Just to clarify. The base of Heaven's Gate. If HG is on windhold, you can still get there from Bravo or Castlerock. I'm hoping at least one upper mountain lift spins...

If the forecast below is true, I don't foresee you guys having too much trouble with wind. There should still be plenty of lifts open to keep you more than occupied!

Friday: Snow showers likely, mainly before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 15. Wind chill values as low as -10. West wind between 16 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Great video!
I wish I went out on Friday, though my pass mountain (ME) was closed and I have exhausted all of my LP vouchers. Oh well. Now I'm sitting here in CT for the weekend with my family and anxiously awaiting my return home ... maybe I'll get out on Monday, but definetely Thu-Sun next week.

Great meeting Lostone and SRO. Thanks for the generosity, Win.

(Lostone...I'll have to find that "Audi" thread you told me about.)
