"Miscellaneous Discussion" is not exactly a name that sets the heart a flutter. The Mods have been discussing internally the possibility of changing the name to something more reflective of the Valley and its heritage. A bunch of names have been floated, but we certainly don't ownt he franchise on good ideas. I'll post a few in a poll here and would ask that you feel free to submit a write-in if we've missed anything obvious.

Another vote for the Valley Tavern.

Actually, when I saw the poll up, I got in the first vote. Wink

We were 100% of the votes, then! Laughing

Valley Tavern sounds too specific... typically general forums are something more broadly named, like simply "The Tavern" or "The Pub"... those do imply a very apres feel though (I have posted in this forum quite early in the morning, haha)... how bout just "The Lodge"?

In the cyber world apres ski can last until... you go back to skiing. Wink

But your request for The Lodge has been noted. Cool

How about "Off Topic"...people new to the forum or unfamiliar with the valley will have NO idea what the other names mean or what type of thing to post here.

Meh. Too generic. I'm sure those that are new will figure it out. If they're able to find this place to begin with, that implies they are somewhat Net savvy.

Man Gallaghers brings back some memories. Actually it's likely due to that fine establishment that many memories can not be recounted. What a great Apres ski place. Plenty of music and beer. Remember when the Mad River Tavern was open across the way. It was like dueling pianos. You kow if bars were pianos and people......ah ... I've got nothing...... Thank you Gallaghers.

By popular demand, I've added "The Lodge" as a choice. This poll will remain open until the will of the people is clear.
