Fun with snow!

Observations: Snow report late afternoon ~10+” but the lifts where closed due to wind all day. Plus, “ Looking to be top to bottom tomorrow”
Now still snowing!
Lots of snow guns working full bore.
Great snow making temperatures forecasted.

NOAA-~50% Snow till a low Saturday night. Snow then restarts Sunday.

Guess-ta-mit: Tomorrow the first natural trail line will drops.
Temperatures will drop threw out the weekend.
Snow – 091208-091212 - Wind effected packed in 8” of great base sand, covered by 2”…..wet snow starting to cool down layer, topped by 2-6+” of Champlain lake effect powder accumulating over 4 days (greater amounts on less wind effected surfaces.) Trail count to increase ☺ ☺

Back to snow dancing!

I just made that comment to the better half! But the headwall on paradise has got to look like it did last year when it opened.

It's officially known as "NCP base building near-molecular level snow binding H2O agent @ 33+ degrees which awaits precipitous mercury declination".

Please, there are children who look at this board, so let's be careful with what we teach and what they might learn here. Their future is in our hands.

We, in upper Fayston (which I like to refer to as the 'upper west side') did not have a single drop of NCP.

I guess that makes Waitsfield Common the Upper East Side. And Moretown is the Bronx!

With a bunch of new dry snow last night and a bunch of new trails rolling out I think it safe to say that today will be amazing. Shady...you must have good karma :D Just a reminder if your cold, you don't enjoy the day so don't forgot to bring up your cold weather stuff if your heading up for the weekend.

If that is the case then Castlerock must be right around the corner. ;-)

Castlerock must be right around the corner. ;-)

That's what I was thinking too

Now with that much natural what are the chances of opening some beginner trails this weekend?
My little ski buddy wants to ski! And I'd rather not have to be her "lift".

teleo,

I'm in the same boat! Looks like Gatehouse pod won't open until next weekend according to the snow report. Not sure about the beginner terrain over at Ellen.
