Can't say that I'm surprised by this move.

Article in the Burlington Free Press today too: http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/article/20090514/BUSINESS/90514001 . Definitely not really news around here, but now it's official. I wonder who the potential buyers are... whoever it is, they're going to get a damn good deal.

One well known potential buyer: Hank Greenburg.

Maybe Summit Ventures can buy it. I'm picturing a super high speed gondola connecting sugarbush and stowe, or perhaps a monorail. :) Yea, a monorail would be sweet. :D

Win is saving hte money for the monorail and using it on the teleporters.

"Dammit Jim! I'm a lift op; not a teleportation technician!"

 Sorry... The new Star Trek movie has me all excited.

Not enough to actually see it, but enough to mention it here.

...Stowe via raffle ! Tickets $1 each...

As taxpayers, we already kinda sorta own it, right....at least that's how I understand it. And it's DEFINITELY a toxic assett....

Can a Les Otten venture (Stowked Partners LLC ?) be far behind.....

And at least the new owners will have the opportunity to bulldoze and contour those too steep headwalls and twisty trails....
