Since Howie will never see a moose, he can watch vicariously from here. Post your sightings and if you are so lucky, your photos:

Friday 5/8 9:30pm on SB Access Rd between LP and German Flats, southbound across the road. Cow moose.

Oh you are soooo mean!

Just got in from a short bear hunting hike. Going to get a few things done, then set out for another hike. Of course, I'll be carrying a camera, so if I see anything.

Hey! Should I photoshop about 12 of them in front of one of the lifts?

Granville Gulf, 10:10 PM, 5/13/09. Almost hit a huge cow... extremely scary. On the bright side Howie, you're kinda lucky you haven't seen one of these things... not exactly a fun experience...

I did not see this moose but it caused quite a stir in an urban area. Howie, keep looking you will see one someday.

so you're back in the MRV for the summer? swimming in the mad river is great but the gorges are right up there. especially like hanging out in the one below Taughannock falls.
Boze and I are heading up to Ithaca the first weekend in June.

yes, as Boze and I head west on 17, the moose move in great herds across central NY, like the great wildebeast migrations.

Saw the Moose while hiking down MRG Lower Antaloupe. I came accross it sleeping on the trail. I did get some pictures as I backed away.

We had a black bear in our driveway on Sunday evening around 7pm. Not sure who was more startled- the bear or the husband walking out the door to his truck. Not a moose, but noteworthy!

Excuse me, young lady?

Shouldn't that be in Howie's bear sighting log? :?

When we get to Howie's squirrel sighting log, I think he's going to not like... you.

I have no problem with bears, squirrels or other wildlife, only moose. and I certainly would never have a problem with Susan.
