As I left my house in Moretown this morning, the sun was breaking out and it was not precipitating. It stayed dry until the bottom of the Access Rd, but by Alpine Options it was already snowing.

I grabbed some gear and headed back to town to help with the Sugarbush Youth Triathlon, which was held at the Big Picture in Waitsfield. No rain in town.

Short sleeves and mittens ... must be April.

After the race, I got a sandwich at Easy Street and checked out the early blooms.

I picked up my ride from Stark Mountain Bikes for tomorrow's adult triathlon and then I had to get back up to the mountain for a private. The rain had started in the Valley at that point.

And this is what it looked like up there. Dumping all day, with more in the forecast. It was really coming down at 7pm as I got my race number at the Mount Ellen base lodge. 1/4" in fifteen minutes on my car. The new snow was blending well too.

Winter's back, at least above 1500'!
