I don't think I can remember a Dummy Big Air contest day when it snowed, but this year, it did.

Unfortunately, I think the new snow on the old corn made the snow on the ramp slow. :(

There were 18 entries, today, and I think only two made it off the jump.

First I wandered thru the staging area.

Octo-moo was one of the early favorites.

The Festival of the Arts had an entry, this year, called King Of Arts:

Yes, Georgie made another appearance on the foreclosed house of the American taxpayer:

There was a snowmobile pulling a bunch of sleds:

I really wish this one had made it. It would have looked so cool!

Then as we went to the contest...

A rooter for Octo-moo:

A spectacularly early crash. Note the people cracking up!

First one to finally make it (To great cheers!)

Nice pics, thanks.

What, is everyone quieted by the premature end of winter?

FWIW-loving the new deck area with the grill.

I think depression has set in Howie. However the season is not even close to being over. I took a run down Steins on Sunday. I stoped for a minute and looked across the trail. It is amazing how much snow there is. The hump in the middle of the trail is probably 15 to 20 feet in places. That's going to take a while to melt.

Was Stein's skiing a bit better? Friday and Saturday you could see the glare of the ice from the Access Road...

Let's just say that the run was all about edge control. The new snow did not help with the speed control.
