Pretty cool youtube video on the Mountain Blazers program this year. Wish I was a kid again with parents who would have funded this type of activity. What a gift to these kids!!!

The direct link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCfAqWze9F4. Trying to embed the clip here.

Can you start a group for a bunch of us who are 59,73, 60? We ski about 50+ days a year and we don't whine; just let us get to CR Pub by day's end and we will be happy campers!

Have you heard of the Bush Pilots (http://www.sugarbush.com/content/cm.asp?pid=209)? We are considering Adventure Camp for adults too!

John:

I have a friend of mine in Bush Pilots who we ski with on every Sunday. He is so bruised and sore from Saturday, forget about it! He is 60 also. Good luck to him. No, something a little tamer please.

Sounds like you want Black diamond club (http://www.sugarbush.com/content/cm.asp?pid=208)
Met someone who skis with them via a common friend. Seems like an interesting group.

Sunday bush pilots or backcountry pow-hounds would be ideal. My daughter is doing the half-blazers at Ellen this year and it's great, since we can ski with her on Saturday. Would be great to do something like that with Adults so we can ski with the family on Saturaday and then totally abuse ourselves on Sunday ;)

Maybe a 2-4 day course during Dec or Feb Vacation.

. . . with parents who would have funded this type of activity.

Ahhhh, but there is the rub!

When I was a kid, my parents would buy us a couple sleds each year, which, with the 9 of us, would not always last the year.

And after a "good" snowfall, I would go out and try to shovel walks and driveways. I'd get back, at the end, just as tired, but not nearly as happy, as now.

I don't wish I was a kid again. This time... I'm doing it right!

And I did always wonder about those nuts who would strap skis to the top of their car and drive, when the police were saying the roads were dangerous, because of the snow, and we should all stay home.

I like the Sunday idea and I'm totally committed to laying down what you are picking up, as long as Egan and Win support it. :)

How's this ... Bush Pilots BC? More uphill, more powder, less bumps than regular BP.
