I have noted that the trail maps since about 2003 or so no longer list or indicate that lift. Is it safe to say that GMVS bought it from SB and operate it now? And this weekend was the only time I have only seen it in operation. Cool! :D

I haven't seen it in operation since well before 03 - I thought the thing had been condemned.

Saw it running a bunch of times last year.... looked like GMVS personnel staffing it. I'm not over at Ellen's lifts, so I don't know if it is an assigned spot. Come to think of it, I've only seen GMVS attired folk near the lift. When I make it over to MtEllen this season to ride, and if the lift is spinning, I'll take a look. If there's no blue jacket/black vest around it (with the SB logo), then I think its safe to assume its strictly GMVS.

And I too once thought it was condemned, since the wood siding on it was down, but she still runs!
