OK, Best Way Tonight from Route 7 to the 'Valley

Well, am happy to see the new snow on the trails, but not the roads.

The GF and I are driving over for the weekend. We are coming from the Middlebury area. Which route is best in this snow?

--> Route 116 to 17 over the Mountain (personal favorite) OR

--> Route 125 to 100 and then north through Granville Gap?

Thoughts? Car has very good snow tires, but the driver would prefer NOT to be in any really hairy situations.

I can't comment on 125 but I've driven 17 over Ap gap for years with little trouble. Crews do a nice job.

I would probably do 17 if it were me. Don't let anyone push you from behind. Take your time, test the brakes.
