2nd, I just saw that on the report. Did they drop the ropes today or is that for tomorrow. They also are moving the guns to lower/mid jester and lower grinder.

Great news! I just hope the "ncp" stays south. Thinking, praying and dancing snow

Definetely going tomorrow. Would've been nice today, but the fact that the temp at my house didn't get above 10 = even colder up top.
Tomorrow though... enough complaining... I'm going riding!

(though I'm not yet ready for the 'Rock this early)

Missed that entirely!

Was not open this morning, and heard nothing about it by the time I'd finished up around 2:30.

My last run was Birdland to Lower Jester. Went right past it, but never looked over the edge. Knew that it had been skied this morning, but knew the lift was closed at that time.

Wonder what I'll do tomorrow? Maybe ski Pushover?

That certainly would not be much of a challenge after Stein's on Turkey day!!!

My morning off with Dr. Hannah was filled with unbumped Castlerock fun. We tagged Rumble, Upper CR, Liftline, and Middle Earth, before I descended to the cave.

Many of the usual suspects were out, but the turns just seemed to keep getting better. The Jaws on ME was as filled in and smooth as I've ever seen it at this time of year. The top of Liftline was little bony, but once over the first pitch, it was clean and buttery. Rumble still has some teeth, but I know most of them and avoided any bites.

Looks like the weather roller-coaster may throw us some funk, then it's back to snow pretty quickly. More info as it happens.

Get out and ride!

Well I didn't make it to Castlerock, but was quite contempt with the Super Bravo pod trails.
My pick trail of the day went to Downspout - even with the gate crashers. My legs/feet needed something groomed after their ride on Birdland, Murphy's, Lower Domino, and such. Was able to get some good turns in and some freshies on the riders' right side of every trail I went down. Kinda missed upper Jester, but there was enough "down lower" to satisfy me. They're still crankin snow out on Snowball/Spring Fling - was going to get a run in over there, but I quit after 3 hours. Had lots of fun. There'll be plenty of Castlerock days for me later on...

I love bump skiing, but the flow and float of smooth powder puts everything else to shame. Here's to 3D skiing and riding!

Middle Earth. Not today, although Tolkien's trail was really really good today too.

Ripcord, 12/08/08.

p.p.s. Happy 50th! Free cake to celebrate Egan's and Sugarbush's birthday on Saturday 12/13 at 3:30 in the Valley House, original downstairs home of the Wunderbar for true retro ambience. Plus, Steve Myers and I put together a moving pictures presentation in honor of the man and the mountain, which will commence as soon as the cake is served. Please come!

Couple pix from Middle Earth today.

Took a lot more, but had a series of problems with my camera.
