Glad that the employees got to ski this weekend. And they worked hard too.

Just curious, why boot pack it? Why not run a ct up there? Too steep? Winching not an option? BTW nice work patrol.

My guess is that with snow that light and dry, the cat would just end up ripping right throw it into the bare earth.

Shameful waste of pow if you ask me... I don't know how people have the will power to stand there on spillsville and not turn their tips and let 'em rip...

more like a necessary waste of pow is you want it to be skiable anytime soon. We used to boot pack intermediate trails out west during our lift rotations before the big snows hit. It really does make a difference.

+ 1. Plus Spillsville is too narrow and steep to be easily groomed, with or without a winchcat.
