So have they got a grip as to how to fix the VH Double or not? Sorry...bad pun I know....

Seriously, are they going to replace the grips or just replace the whole lift now?

The plan is to replace the grips. The first test passed, so we are hopeful this will be the solution!

We should be in good shape. I have approved the order for all the new grips!

At last check, grips were on and the lift was ready to go.

I can definately confirm the grips were replaced. There was a big pile of old grips on the base platform a couple of weeks ago.

That's good news. I'm more interested to hear whether SB was able to jump the queue on the VT state tramway inspections this year so as to avoid last year's issues.

That was not the issue last year! We had a lightening strike that blew out the electronics in a couple of lifts that backed up the inspection. So far so good and yes, we hope to get the inspector here early.

Good. That's new information re: last year. Or at least new to me/this board.
