Farmers' market starts, today. Heading there now. Good people watching for the valley, off-season.

Will be posting pix from a few of the days, last year, later today.

See some of you down there. :)

Well, I went down, yesterday. It was a fairly light turnout, but was a cloudy, damp day, with forecasts of showers, so it was actually pretty good, for that early.

I took some more pix, but they're not off my camera, yet. (I seem to like taking pix a lot more then going thru the process of doing anything with them.)

Put a small set of pix up, from the last seasons. More will likely go up, as time goes on.

Check them out at my MSN site. (http://groups.msn.com/JimsSceneryPix/farmersmarket.msnw?Page=1) The first page is from 2005 and the rest are 2006. I have tons of others... somewhere.

My wife and I were there. It wasn't a nice day, but we were really pleased with the variety of stuff that was there for the early season. Can't wait to see what is in for produce around August first. We bought a couple of nice basil plants to start the summer herbs off, and some incredible fresh bread that lasted into Sunday night. Next time I will try the locally produced beef.

Once things are going, there is a wide variety of veggies. :)

I stop buying almost all veggies from stores, when they start showing up at the market, and don't start again until October.

Lots of veggies, all fresh and most organic.

Also more food and craft booths, as well as booths for anything that is happening in the valley. Nothing like buying it from those who are growing/making it. 8)

Veggies have started showing up at the farmers' market.

The crafts are good, but it is summer when you start eating fresh veggies!

I've added some pix of the market on my Farmers' Market album. (http://groups.msn.com/JimsSceneryPix/farmersmarket.msnw?Page=1)

This year's shots start part of the way thru page 4. I've also dated the beginning of the series of some of the older shots.

I would be up to date... if I hadn't taken pix, yesterday.

I am finally caught up on my Farmers' Market pix (http://groups.msn.com/JimsSceneryPix/farmersmarket.msnw?Page=4) on my MSN pix site.

For those visiting, lots of great produce and the best people scene in the valley. 8)

All I have left, from last week is a very small piece of cucumber and a few blueberries. On the good side, it will happen again, tomorrow.
