Took a little hike on Wednesday. Here are some shots I took (Lower Rim/Lookin' Good, Cliffs, Summit from Mid, Midflats, Summit from Lookin Good, Upper Rim/Top North Ridge, Baldy, respectively):

I still can't get over how much snow there is on the mountain in May! Much of the mountain is still entirely skiable. This list includes (but is not limited to) Black Diamond (amazing cover), FIS, Panorama, Upper/Lower Rim Run, Lookin' Good, Bravo, Exterminator, Way Back, Lower Exterm, Elbow, Cliffs, Which Way, Cruiser (mostly), North Star (mostly). Much of Northway is even intact. If you don't mind a little grass/dirt skiing, you can still ski to the bottom. :D

I'm thinking I'll still be able to find a skiable strip of snow on Black Diamond or FIS on June 1st! Who's up for a hike? :D

Must be propaganda/photoshop. Everyone knows that ME doesn't hold snow better than LP - it's the extra snowmaking that makes the difference. I know. Someone high up told me.

Still got snow. I've skied Memorial Day many times on FIS. It looks like it'll happen this year, too.

Still quite a bit of snow up at North... the bare spots are now visible from across the valley but there's definitely a good snowpack left in a lot of places...

Just watching TWC and some rain/snow is forecasted for Thursday.

I know it sounds crazy, but could there be a Memorial Day dump? It dumped on every holiday since January - why stop now?
:D

Supposed to be some light flurries at the high elevations tomorrow night... tis about it though.

No Memorial Day storm please. I am ready for summer.

Ok! I give up! If it snows , maybe we will install a Gondola. some synthetic matting and a dome imported from Dubai and ski all year! We could have a forum vote to see if people favor wind turbines or a dome on top of Baldy!

ps: Tin, we did make a ton of snow up top at ME too this year!

pps: I played (ball) golf yesterday and hung up my skis on Cinco de Mayo after 110 great days! The great snow we had this winter allowed the fairways and greens to come through the winter really well. A friend of mine had a great saying. "There is a time to come and a time to go and now the time to go has come!" Until November (or August if you are going to Chile!)

How about wind turbines to help power the snowmaking system? Seems like the coldest, I mean best snowmaking weather comes with some pretty gnarly winds!
