While the conditions for skiing are... a litle less than ideal, I thought I'd say a little about my Valley Ski Week experience.

For those who don't know, Valley Ski Week is something that happens at Sugarbush, every year. There are discounts on a week of lessons. Each day, you work on a different aspect of skiing to bring you up in ability, to be a more proficient skier or rider.

Also, as you are with the same instructor and group, you tend to bond and have a better time than you would on any single day's group lesson.

Also, most who've taken group lessons have found that the others in the class are way above or below your ability level. By taking the lessons for a week, you find that some of the others are much better at some of the aspects, and worse at others. These things become clear, as you go thru different drills. This also helps with the bonding of the group.

I had a good time, and reccomend it for any who might want to bring their ability up a little. As you get better, you can do a little more, which gives you other things to want to get better at.

Valley Ski Week is generally the first week that South is open, so doing it this year... might be a little difficult. In the past, they have done the same thing during the Canadian vacation week. Not sure they will do that again, or if it is available for other weeks. I'm sure the folks at the ALC would be happy to give you any information that they can come up with. 8)
