Great shots, but I think instead of wandering around the country taking pix, you should be shovelling snow on those trails so we can ski them!

Great pics, SRO! Below are a few more (notice the natural snow falling!!!). Click Here (http://www.patricktorsell.com/snowmaking.wmv) for a video of the snowmaking at the base of ME (with a bit of holiday music in the background). The file is in .wmv format (Windows Media Video).

And look... you can't see the summit because it's snowing so hard!

BushMogulMaster, will you be getting out on the mtn tomorrow? I gather you work at GMRS (?). How much time do you get to spend on hill each day?

Thanks for your good work. :D

Nope.

I'll be out for about an hour tomorrow between 2 and 3:00. I try to get out as much as possible. Usually 2 hours each day mid-week, and 5-8 hours each day on the weekends.

I hope that's something they work on for this year. I found the report on the website to be out of date or inaccurate many times last year. Sometimes there wasn't a clear picture on where snow was being made. Other times the snow totals made no sense or were 12 hours old in the middle of a storm. It's Monday night. Now through Wednesday people will be making plans to head up there this weekend, or not. It would be good to know, officially on the website, there they are blasting now, where they plan to move in the next day or three, and how much snow was actually received - looks like a bit more than 1" to me. This was a gripe of mine last season and I hope it's improved upon for this season. The more information, the better.

BMM,

it seems like your pictures are coming from the vicinity of GMRS and your profile indicates your interest in jazz music. so i figured maybe you teach there. i'm not going to twist anymore arms, i'll let it be. your're probably just the headmaster who's trying to keep a low internet profile.

Plowboy's got it right from the horse's mouth: I live at Fiddlehead, and that's where the pics come from.

I'm definitely into jazz. In fact, I play jazz piano, trombone, trumpet, and a few other odd things along the way. But as for being the GMVS headmaster... I don't think so!
