We are not going to be able to open tomorrow. We are hopeful for Monday but probably can't make the call until early that morning. The good news is that the temperatures - especially above mid mountain - look really good all week and we are quite confident that we will have Lincoln Peak top to bottom for next Saturday so that all can celelebrate the official opening of the new Gate House. The guns are on at both mountains.

At Mount Ellen we were on early on Elbow and are working our way down Elbow to Spread Eagle and the base of the Summit lift as well as working on Rim Run B and Looking good. We had a pipe burst on FIS this morning when we charged the line, so we lost several hours of snowmaking at the top of Rim Run. But it is welded and ready to go, so we hope the winds cooperate and we can keep what we make on the trail. Last night was brutal as I am sure you all experienced. After we get these trails done, we will be proceeding down Crusiser to the base to hopefully also have top to bottom for next weekend as well at Mount Ellen.

There is the potential for some real snow as well, but right now it is helpful having exposed trails to freeze everything up. Last year the ground did not freeze before the Thanksgiving snowfall and we had running streams into January. So a few cold days and nights without snow is actually helpful for the long term.

So Treeskier start your snow dance Tuesday.

Thanx for the update. Can't say it is too much of a surprise. Just looking up at what we lost on Organgrinder, in the last few days, it is truely sad.

We'll hope for Monday.
