I feel that this is worthy of a thread of its own!

Congrats and thanks to Win Smith, Hardy Merrill, Dan Torsell, and the rest of mountain ops, as well as snowmaking crews, lifts ops, lift maintenance, guest services, and all of the others who helped make this early opening possible. The snow quality was fantastic, especially considering only having about four days to make snow. Everything was going very smoothly as of about 1:00. I'm very impressed, and pleased to see the 'Bush open with quality skiing before the rest of Vermont.

I think I speak for everyone when I say, A GREAT JOB BY ALL!

Enjoy the '06/07 season, and think snow!!

No problem. I also posted an official trip report on the trip report forum, so you can check that out if you're interested.

to those of us who have to pay to play. While we were working, some were playing. %#*^!!!
I understand, what's the point of owning and running a ski resort if you don't take first dibs? But it still hurts. I suppose our jealousy only adds to their pleasure.
Grudging congratulations. Nice to beat K-mart. Nice to be first in VT.
But you guys could have called, just to let us know what we'd be missing.
See you friday.

First time "in the history of winter sports"?

Me thinks someone got a little overzealous with the prose.

A) Hello??? He's a marketing guy! That's what he's supposed to do!
Did you expect something like, "Well we're open. C'mon up if you have nothing good to do." ?

2) The quote actually was
For the first time in recent memory (and possibly the history of winter sports) Which I think is much more mild than your complaint.

It is a big thing, and a lot of people were talking about it. :)
